These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bukvica mobile application ("App") operated by Bukvica ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bukvica. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.
You may not create an account on behalf of someone else or use another person's account without permission.
3. The Service
Bukvica is a platform that allows registered users to list physical books they own, discover books listed by others, express interest through a swipe mechanic, and arrange direct person-to-person book exchanges.
Bukvica is a facilitator only. We are not a party to any exchange between users. All arrangements, meetings, and exchanges are made directly between users at their own discretion and risk.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the App (book listings, photos, messages, and profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You represent that:
- You own or have the right to share any photos you upload
- Your content does not infringe any third-party rights
- Your content is accurate (books you list are in the condition described and available for exchange)
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any commercial purpose, including selling books for money
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post content that is illegal, obscene, or harmful
- Attempt to access another user's account or our systems without authorisation
- Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the App
- Impersonate any person or entity
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
6. Exchanges and Safety
All book exchanges are arranged directly between users. We strongly recommend meeting in public places and exercising common sense when meeting someone for the first time. Bukvica is not responsible for any harm, loss, or dispute arising from exchanges between users.
7. Ratings
The rating system is intended to build community trust. You agree to leave honest, fair ratings. Ratings that are retaliatory, fabricated, or in bad faith may be removed.
8. Intellectual Property
The Bukvica name, logo, design, and software are our property and may not be used without our prior written permission. Book cover images are used for identification purposes only.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of book listings, the reliability of other users, or the availability of the service at any given time.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bukvica shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of books, damages resulting from meetings with other users, or service interruptions.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
